I just had to write as soon as I got back to the hotel. I am not one to prosper from someone elses misfortune, but I am so pleased for what ever reason your tour was cancelled today. It was just a stroke of luck that the hotel called you. As I said to Eric, Dad got up this morning and felt sprightly so I wanted to see if I could arrange something last minute.
Thank you so much for making our day so wonderful and letting Dad visit all of his memories. As for Anglo / French / American relations you would both do well as ambassadors for any country. I will recommend you to all of our friends
Due to your kind generosity I am donating your tour fee to the Normandy association and cancer research.
Thanks so much

Hi Michelle,
We arrived home Saturday evening, and I am just catching up with my emails now.
We had a wonderful time at your B & B. Everything was perfect. Your boys are so cute.
Thanks so much.
Take care and enjoy your summer holiday with your family.
also - keep us updated if you move to the coast of France as we plan to come back - it is so beautiful in France. We liked London also, but France was our favorite.
Regards,
Dawne

Truly we were very lucky to stumble on this excellent B&B place while searching the web. We liked the picture of an old mansion house and the description of Domfront, a medieval town where it is located. Our hosts, Michelle and Eric, made us feel welcome from the very first minute of our arrival to their house, meeting us at the door with a bottle of a chilled Poiré (specialty of Normandy: sparkling wine made from pears). Our room was spacious and tastfully furnished, the bed comfortable and covered with impecable linens, bathroom clean and modern. The windows overlooked a beautiful garden which is a real bird paradise. What could be better than to wake up, smelling freshly baked bread and hearing the birds. The breakfast room had its charm, was beautifully decorated with flower arrangements, the breakfast was generous and the table nicely set. Domfront is an attractive medieval town with a few very good restaurants (ask Michelle) and is a good choice to stay and drive around if you would like to experience life in Normandy, look into its medieval past, culture and revisit the history of the WWII. If you would like to learn more about the D-Day events, Eric is an absolutely perfect guide and a great story teller. Michelle is a caring and a very helpful person. She helped us to find another B&B place down the Loire and even called there to make a reservation. It was our first trip to Normandy, so she also advised us which sites/chateaus will be interesting to visit on our trip. We cannot think of anything we did not like in their house. They made our stay in their house really enjoyable. It was wonderful to meet a couple which, no doubt, likes their business and enjoys caring about their guests. We would like to come back one day

Absolutely brill place to stay. Off road parking. Restaurants within walking distance and Eric & Michelle are great hosts.
Great all inclusive deal for 3 days and 2 nights with dinner etc. It was great so we decided to stay an extra couple of days as they had room, and we did not have to be at our next destination until the Saturday.
Erics ride outs were great and his added historical knowledge of the D Day battlefields were superb. It made a great historical day out. Can't wait to go back later this year and do another tour if Eric and Michelle will have us.

Dear Michelle & Eric
We just wanted to let you know that we arrived home safely. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and looking after us so well. It was like home from home. We wish we could have stayed for Christmas; I bet Normandy is magical.
We’ve been telling all of our friends and showing them the photos. It was a great week, if not tiring. Eric your tours are superb and we hope we have enough health and strength to visit France again in the next couple of years. We really want to do the Loire Castles with you
Thank you both very much – Heres raising a very large glass of calavados to you both.
With our very best wishes

I never wrote a recommendation for the absolutely wonderful tour that Eric did for us last year. We took the tour in May from the Century ship. The day was so wonderful and we will ever be grateful to Eric for his making it so. Please find below my recommendation for you to put onto your web site. I really want to do this!
Don’t miss this experience of a lifetime tour. We’d been to Normandy and the landing beaches before on a tour but this time were traveling with 2 other couples who had never been there and were coming to France specifically for that purpose. I read about Eric online and after some discussion decided to book him. We went along for the ride. How fortunate we were!
Eric is so much more than a guide. He brings the day to life – hour by hour, moment by moment. He tells the story of the men; of the villagers; of the wounded; of the young and of the old. We began at Mere D’Eglise – did you know that 2 men were caught on the steeples there? Eric did and told us both stories…..those and many others.
All day we drove around the Beaches of Normandy and the surrounding towns, stopping at a bridge or a field or a monument out in the middle of nowhere and Eric shared with us what happened there – not just facts. He painted a picture for us, drawing from the vast amount of research he has done. We stood on Utah beach as he sketched the battle for us in the sand. We looked down from Pointe du hoc to Omaha beach, where so many had lost their lives and where brave men walked in front of the tanks to get them up the hill. We walked quietly inside the small church that was used at as a hospital for both German and Allied soldiers. Staffed by 2 American medic who worked non-stop for over 40 hours, saving the lives of as many soldiers as possible. And throughout our day, Eric told story after story.
We learned so much that day about courage and sacrifice; the horrors of war and the price that was paid for our freedom. Eric’s knowledge was phenomenal and he shared it freely, answering the many questions that we had.
Our day ended with Taps at the American Cemetery and time to walk around on our own thinking about the experience of the day. We will never forget it. Neither will you. There is no better tour of Normandy that you can take.

Told Sandra all about the house and the lovely grounds, she is dying to see it and meet you both,
I can't begin to tell how welcome you made us and how happy Grant was to see all the war zones and related information given by Eric, he is a wealth of information,we certainly will come again, maybe I'll get a job and improve my French.
Talk to you soon, have nice holidays, keep well and happy,
regard to all

Thank you once again for your hospitality. You made Sarah and I feel really welcome from the moment we arrived.

We will of course recommend you to our friends.

Dear Michelle,
We have been back home since last week, but I have been trying to catch up on things for work and this week I have a little more time.
We had a wonderful time while we were there, even if our clothes did not arrive on time. Thank you so much for the hospitality and all that you, Eric, Jay and Keir did for us to make us very comfortable. Thanks you for the breakfast, the rooms, the laundry, the little house in the yard, etc.
My mom really loved it as well and we have wonderful memories of when we were there. I will pass on your message to her too. She really loved meeting you and your family and we all agreed that we were lucky to have stayed there.
We want to go back some day to spend more time in Normandy and get to see some things in a more relaxed pace.
You are most welcome for the gift, it was not very big, but we really wanted to thank you all for everything and I hope that the boys enjoyed what they got. Maybe some playmobils.
Thanks again for everything and have a great day!
A Bientot!

Hi Michelle,
I wanted to let you know that our group arrived safely and on time to the ship on Saturday evening.
We do so appreciate your efforts to get us a taxi, paid his transport to our ship after Eric's van broke down. He was a marvelous travel guide and we felt so bad as he was so distressed.
Do reassure him how we enjoyed his thorough explanations of D-day and events. Skip was so pleased to have someone who knew soooo much on the subject. Our lunch, the entire day was a real delight for us.
Thank you for taking care to call our ship customs and alerting them as to our arrival time.
We wish your company and your family a good year forth coming. Perhaps you will find a buyer for your lovely home and will beable to move closer to the activiites of your tour business.
Thank you again for your diligent assistance. Thank you Eric for your day of full enjoyment.
Warm regards, Sondra and Skip Peters

We've just got back and I wanted to let you know how wonderful our stay was with you.
Your home is beautiful and we are very grateful that you shared it with us. Betsy and Ron are still talking about it and have said that they will be telling all of their friends when they return to the US.
Eric a really big thank you to you for taking us out on a D Day tour. You went more than the extra mile and it made Betsys day. She can't wait to show her mum the pictures of all the places her father spoke about and fought at. We are already talking about coming back next year if you will have us and hope to to the Loire Castle tour and of course staying with you again. Ron and I haven't told the girls yet but maybe Le Mans sounds like a good bet too.
Also just to let you know I have also posted a review on Trip Advisor, so hopefully they will use it. If you like you can also use this mail on your customer comments.
Gabriella and I wish you all the best and a successful season

Thanks so much for everything. We had a great time.
Our room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Your hospitality was great and the tour which Eric took us on was brilliant. I would have paid much more just for the detail and thought that you both put into it. My father was touched by the fact that strangers would have gone to so much effort for him. But you're not strangers anymore and I hope that one day we can return to your lovely home.
I will be telling all my friends that when they come to France they must stay with you on route from Paris.
