Notes

Before leaving the UK make sure you do the following, if not your holiday may not go ahead as planned.

Check your passport is valid
Ensure your bike is roadworthy. (The French minimum tyre tread is 1.6mm)
Please check that your UK Motorbike insurance covers you and your pillion (if applicable) abroad, otherwise your cover may be invalid.
Obtain European Breakdown Cover
For emergency medical cover advise everyone in your group to obtain an EHIC medical card which can used within the EU. If you or anyone in your group fails to do this you may be liable for hefty medical expenses

Have your passport and ferry tickets ready
Pack your Driver's Licence
Pack your Insurance Certificate & Registration documents (These are to be carried with your vehicle at all times as it is a legal requirement in France)
Affix a GB sticker to your number plate or have it suitably placed so it can be seen.
