For nearly 900 years Villedieu les Poelles has been the capital of copper. It has a number of different workshops. A must see is the Atelier de Cuivre where you can see the craftsmen at work and the Fonderie des Cloches gives an insight into the making of bells. Its also a great place to let the children have a go and ring a few bells.
