The year 2008 celebrates the special double jubilee of Mère Poulards 120th anniversary and Mont Saint Michels 1300th anniversary. Mont Saint Michel, is a marvel of the Western World, and was founded 1300 years ago when the Archangel Saint Michael appeared at the summit of a rocky islet pounded by the worlds strongest tides and called for a sanctuary to be built to the glory of God. For over 1000 years, the peoples faith and skills were applied to create the pinnacle of medieval architecture. The world famous Mère Poulard restaurant also celebrates is 120th anniversary. The inn was founded in 1888 where her renowned recipes were created.

Departing your accommodation/hotel your driver / guide will take you to Mont St Michel, situated in the middle of its own bay. Make your way through the Boulevard Gate and then the Kings Gate onto the Grande Rue where you will discover museums, shops and houses dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. Continue onto the Abbey where your guide will take you on a discovery of the Abbey with its medieval architecture from the XI to the XVI century.

After admiring the Abbey, stop for lunch and then visit the ramparts and wonder at the spectacular views over the bay from the ramparts path.

The rest of the afternoon is left for you to discover the museums and parish church. We will then drive you back your accommodation / hotel.
